So many men talk about how pregnancy is just an excuse to complain and be lazy. Now, we all know that women were chosen to give life instead of men because they couldn't handle the pregnancy or the birth. Pain factor. Do you think this is accurate?? haha If they only knew.

I think it's accurate, my husband gets a cold and he acts like he's going to die or never come out of it. They have no idea what being pregnant is, let alone what pushing something the size of watermelon out. ouch!!!

We risk our lives to carry there children. My husband has never complained about running to the store for me or bringing the laundry upstairs because I can't. If he did I wouldn't be with him. I agree with the previous poster, castrate any man that dares say such a thing because he doesn't deserve to have children with anyone. We carry the child for 9 months risking our lives and deal with the pain of pregnancy and child birth, the least they can so is pick up a little slack when we get tired. There job isn't done when they get off as far as I am concerned.

They have no idea and never will, My husband thinks that since the baby is only a inch big right now I should not have any symptoms. I bought a pregnancy book and have read parts of it to him. Men just don't get it. 8 weeks pregnant

My husband is so in love with our daughter (and was during the pregnancy) that I beleive he would be able to go through any amount of pain for her, as would I. So I believe that SOME men would be able to handle the pain.

I NEVER would have been able to do it without him there.

as a man...a frightened man in this 'space' =p...you are meeting the wrong sort of man...what colin wilson has called 'The Right Man' - a guy who needs to be right at any cost.

i have NO idea how painful childbirth is...i have NO idea how tough carrying another life in your body is...

just as you have NO idea how painful it is to be kicked in the nuts playing rugby...

just as you have NO idea how painful it is for a man to grow up in a world that is on the swing-back from centuries of misogyny without fathers, without meaning, without identity.

which of us kills ourselves us more often? men or women?

any chance we could call a truce sometime soon and maybe say that both women AND men can be real idiots and maybe agree we have more in common, as people, than we have dissimilarities as gender identities?

ok,ok - i'm going back to the locker room - no need to be RUDE!

I think men who say that have either not had a child (they are not a father), or have not been there for their wife or partner during her pregnancy.
I have no doubt in my mind that it was uncomfortable for her -- all the added weight from the baby, all the jabbing at the organs, the ribs, pressure on the pelvis, uncomfortable to sleep, contractions so painful they make you vomit, delivery/c-section, etc., etc., etc. The mere thought of a class 4 tear makes me want to bury my face in a pillow and scream.

Yes, i think you are accurate. No good and loving man would put a women down like that. But I'm sure there are a lot of dirt bags out there who are just nieve.

men have NO CLUE about pregnancy my husband thought i was making up the severe nausea i was having with my last pregnancy because i couldnt get out of bed for 2 weeks and it turned out it was just a symptom of a misscarriage

hahahahaha that is my husband to a tee. He thinks that my nausea and vomiting and lethargy is just me being lazy and not wanting to be intimate. He gets a cold and he can't get out of bed, I think they need to find a way for one guy, just one that is all it would take, to get pregnant and give birth with out a c section! Ha that would be hilarious.
