I dont know whether US TV try to make women cry to create more drama or whether US women cry a lot but it seems all their reality TV shows and documentaries feature an american woman sobbing for one reason or another.
E.g. i was watching Rich bride/poor bride, and the bride-to-be was sobbing because of the stress of organising the wedding.
Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me?

Have you also noticed that American women not only cry a lot, but they can also carry on talking to the interviewer and camera at the same time.
If you are genuinally upset this is almost impossible to do, without needing to wipe and blow your runny nose, not to mention trying to get your words out withour breaking down.
Iv only noticed it with American women.
Strange, because it seems so false. Like crocodile tears.

Iam American and im about fed up with all the cry babies women on my Tv. Good Gravy people dry it up!! lol

ALL women get emotional, not JUST American women. Maybe other countries just chose not to broadcast it, and edit those things out. But here, the majority of tv viewers are females, so we prefer the drama, because it seems more relate-able then.

oh god yeah, sometimes i watch sally and all that on ITV2 and all they seem to do is ball their eyes out!! It looks like it's embarrassing sometimes and so i have to turn TV over. Is it just me or are they drama queens?

i have noticed on the likes of maury and sally jessie etc that they cry an awful lot....but that's the yanks for you...they are over dramatic....
