I am a lifetime fan of the Braves. And yes, Andruw should be out of the lineup. He is hurting the team on offense. He needs to rest his elbow and get better so he can help the team. I think Willie Harris could be good to fill in for now.

Bobby could even move Francoeur to center with his arm. The only thing is that having Andruw on defense helps keep baserunners in check, by holding runners. If Andruw isn't out there, more teams would test the Braves defense when running the bases.

I also would hate to see Andruw with another club next year but that's the business. He will demand too much money and I don't think the Braves can keep him on their budget. I would rather try and hang on to Texeira when he is eligible for free agency after the 2008 season.

wildcat617 - Because a lot of people in Atlanta are not natives, that's why. I know a lot of people from Boston and New York who live here. Their loyalty is with their respective teams, not the Braves. So when a majority of fans are not "true" Braves fans, what do you expect? Loyalty? The Braves still have one of the highest attendance records in the league.

C man I've been a Braves fan since they moved to Atlanta in 66 and always will be. I've rooted for them and supported them though the great years and not so good years as well. I still think they have a chance to win their division this year and I'm definetly not giving up on them. Their middle relief pitchers need to step it up and stop giving up leads late in the game. I think Andruw Jones is a great player and having problems because of some health issues but too stubborn to come out of the lineup because he's so darn competitive. It will be interesting to see if he's still with the Braves next year with his big contract since the purchase of 1st basemen Mark Texiera. It's good to know that there are some real Braves fans out there and I appreciate the opportunity to answer your question.

I have been a Braves fan since the early eighties. Remained a fan even when they were losing near 100 games every year. There are still plenty of us.

Although Andruw's batting average is still at about .214 (up from the mendoza line zone a few weeks ago) he still has about 74 or 75 RBI's. I would not take that kind of production out of the line-up.

Love having Mark Teixeira in the lineup now. That may help Andruw.

Go Braves...still have a good shot this year.

I despise the Braves because they defeated the Cardinals back in 1996. What a travesty. But since I've had a few years to cool off, I'm beginning to appreciate how they play the game. Their scouting and management are very disciplined and intelligent (although that trade that sent J.D. Drew to them for King, Marquis, and Wainwright isn't looking so hot anymore). They always seem to compete every season. What saddens me most is that Atlanta takes them for granted. Even disappointing years here in St. Louis draw plenty of attention. But seeing thousands of empty seats when Smoltz is on the mound and Big Tex is set to lead off the next inning is just depressing.

As a Yankees fan living in Atlanta, one of the first things I noticed attending Braves games is their attendance issue. The Braves seldomly sell out and even in the middle of their NL East Championship run throughout the 90s and early 2000s, a sure bet would be finding Braves playoff tickets. For whatever reason, they have terrible support. I'm not saying their aren't a lot of Braves fans, but most do not show their support. Look at the Yankees, Red Sox, Indians, all equally as good teams over the same period and they consistently sell out. That's just my observation.

Love 'em buddy!!! How about this -- Andruw for Torii Hunter, straight up, no prospects or cash? Interesting, but never gonna happen. I, too, have been a fan since before the Golden Age. The only possible way I wouldn't be is if they go the way of the Spankees and start buying more talent than they develop. ATL 4 LIFE!!!

i am a huge braves fan and will hate to see andruw leave if he goes somewhere else in the offseason he deserves to be in the lineup no doubt he's just gotta stop swinging for the fences EVERY at bat.....he spins and falls more than any other hitter it's a wonder he hasn't pulled anything yet

No I like the Reds and only watch them when they play each other. Andruw is still a good player and should be in the lineup.
