those thin latex/plastic/whatever gloves are fine. Any employee that actually touches the food or handles the serving implements (ladles, etc.) should wear them. I'm a little iffy about handling the wrapped food to put in a bag or on a tray.

I worked foods at Six Flags & we had to wear them. Changed them often, too (sometimes on the hour), because they do get sweaty & uncomfortable, even the ones with the powdery insides. Then you got caked powder over your hands. The other rules were (it's been a long time, so I can't vouch for them still being true): no nail polish, not even clear, and hair tied back in a ponytail.

Sit in a fast food place and watch the employees for half an hour, sometime. I've seen them wipe their nose and scratch themselves just to name a few and put food down on a counter where someones butt had been three minutes before.

I can't stomach fast food places unless I can see them prepare the food....I get to grossed out.

Yes and they should change the gloves often. People don't realize how easily germs are spread when people don't wash their hands often enough. Also, fingernail polish can chip and end up in someones food. I think all food servers should wear gloves.

Yes, they should wear plastic gloves, but more importantly they need to wash before they glove. Also, I think it should all food service employees.

notwithstanding if this is frowned upon for a rapid nutrients eating place to no longer make their workers placed on gloves, this is not certainly a criminal requirement. the sole concern that could placed your suggestions at relax, is that there are a number of well being and secure practices regualtions to do with hand washing, and each worker is informed to bathe their palms hourly, or after each and every job! wish this helped :)

No. Do you realize how much the hands would sweat over an 8-hr shift. Definitely get all "pruney." Skin needs air to "breathe." I think the employees can handle the food with tongs, scoops, ladles, etc.

Rubber gloves would be harder to work with. Even the regular disposable gloves make it difficult sometimes.

Usually it's polyethylene (plastic like) gloves. Not rubber.

YES YES YES YES YES! it would make me feel so much more secure. there is one place where they don't wear gloves and i can't eat their food because i think about if they went to the bathroom and didn't wash their hands and things like that. or if they scratch their butt and then make my fries. ugh!

so annoying.

hairnets! you don't need hair in your food now do you? i need to find a place that makes people do that. omg lol. i sound OCD

I think so, defintely but I think all food service employees, not just fast food. When people get a job with food, they are not tested for HIV, Hepatitis, or anything. And although it is unlikely these could be spread by food, i think it is still possible.
