This question is often asked here...
If you have the original creation CD's then it is just a case of inserting the 1st, switching on and following the instructions. I rebuilt and e-Machine in this mode a few weeks ago and was very easy.

If you only have the operating system disks then once again, insert the first disk, and follow the instructions.

If you have neither then you will need to buy an operating system CD and follow the instructions above.
Things to remember.... when you do this you will loose ALL of your data AND all of the applications on your harddrive.
If you want these you will need to install them again using the CD's that were provided, or the applications downloaded again from the Internet.

This is not something that I would recommend that a novice undertakes as it can be very time consuming and a bit complex for the non-PC literate... (and I don't mean user)

I hope this helps.

If you mean reset all software to factory settings, check your CD collection for a recovery CD: Look on it for a README file or HELP file and follow it's instructions

If it's a normal Windows CD, try www.windowsreinstall.com for guides on manual windows installations
