Would you pay for someone to take all those boxes and zip lock bags of photos you have laying around and turn them into beautiful organized photo albums or scrap books? And how MUCH would you pay? I'm thinking cost of materials and maybe something per hour for labor, or an estimate for each job? What do you think? Thanks!

I'm thinking I could use my own scrapbooks, albums, and the ones I've done for family members as examples. I think for small jobs albums I'd charge $30. And for the more emellishments the more I'd charge. Maybe I could just start collecting the extra stuff and let them pick from my stock, or buy their own and bring it to me? The cd idea isn't bad either............ thanks all!

my wife is always asked to do those scrapbooks.....make sure it is worth your time......people want that stuff done but if you actually add up your hours into it and charge them accordingly they go "what oh my goodness"......anyways set a higher price to eliminate thos cheapos

I'd pay for it! Go to Micheals, Wal-Mart or Target and price the materials. Get an idea how much it would cost to put the book together. I'd get an estimate for each book, not per hour. It'll probably end up being cheaper. I know it would take me hours to do it, and I'd never finish it. But it sounds like a great idea to me! Depending on how detailed you want it, it could get kinda pricey. Look around and see how much everyone is charging. If it seems reasonable to you, then go for it. I would.

No.It's something I would work away at myself on rainy days/nights and get joy out of.Nothing like looking at old pics to bring back memories and lots of laughs not to mention sometimes a tear or two. It's a great pastime in the winter months too.Well at least here in Canada.
I did this several years ago.It took me months but while I was at it,I made up photo albums for my kids and grandkids too.My diningroom table was covered with pics along with any other space I could find but it was worth it.
This year for our family reunion, everyone brought along photo albums and what a great time we had looking through them.Pics a lot of the nieces, nephews, grandkids had never seen and relatives they had heard about but never got to know.It was truly a wonderful day.
Now my children don't have to sort through tons of pics when I'm gone wondering what to do with them, who the people are etc.
Now when I get new pics,I'm able to keep up to adding them to my collection.
Always remember to date and add the yr. the pics where taken when you get them.It really helps a lot and no guessing.

with all due respect I pretty much agree with Garpit.

Even digital can be done up for a grandma album.
