The old one is well worn and needs to be replaced, before all hell bakes. Would anyone know which one?

There should only be one belt.Just go to a parts store and tell them the year, make, and model, they probably will want to know if it has air, automatic transmission, and if it is a GT.It should not cost over twenty dollars and the labor should not be over a half of an hour to put it on.

Walk into the Auto Parts store and say "My 1988 Ford Mustang 5.0 needs a new serpentine belt." They will sell you the correct one.

How many serpentine belts do you have on there???

Most only have one. So go to the parts counter and ask for a belt and the parts man will give you the right one. Good luck.

88 5.0's have a Serp. belt. You cannot get them from the dealer anymore, but NAPA has one for 69.72 and the part number is 25060905.
