With the US and ALL foreign indices down and in the red why is the Madrid Stock Exchange the only market in the world in the green? They have been green since our downturn began.Maybe we should all invest there?

At any given time, some markets go up and others go down. Sooner or later the Madrid market will go down for a while, and when it does, some other markets will be going up. Nobody can predict the movements in advance, so the best plan is to diversify as much as possible. If you dump your money into the latest hot thing, you're likely to invest near the top and sell after it starts losing money.

Besides, the US market isn't in much of a downturn. The Wilshire 5000 index is still in positive territory for the year.
