All or Nothing & The Golden Rule

Well, I could just sit around and complain that life has nothing to offer OR I could make life offer me everything. Life is a take all or nothing game. I believe in taking all that I can out of life and what it has to offer. I want to see the world how no one else sees it, to climb so high that life has to chase me instead, to love like no one before me, to be me, and put a smile on the world with achieving greater things than what my hands may hold. Our life only can be what we let it be. So why hold back on the greater things?

The Golden Rule is good but unless we believe that the GR has authority, it is nothing. It make us feel good inside to say "I do unto others as I would want them to do to me", but when it comes to actually making some sort of significant sacrifice, the good feeling is probably going to look like a very minor motivation.
The GR as expressed in the Bible puts the weight of God's authority behind it. For those who are Christian, the good feelings point to God's authority and are not motivations in and of themselves.

On a serious note, "Good things come to those who wait." That has taught me patience, humility, honesty and respect. "Love is Patient, Love is Kind..." Need I say more?
