What is the best product out there that does not require intense scrubbing of the shower to remove the mildew?

I really like the Tilex Mold & Mildew Remover, spray it on, leave it and it kills it. They used to make it so that it also dissolved soap scum, too, but now they are two separate products. I also found keeping a spray bottle of straight bleach in the shower and hitting the corners and places it likes to grow as you leave the shower daily, works about the same.

Make your own cleaning solution for a fraction of the price.
1 quart bleach
3 quarts warm water
1/3 cup POWDERED laundry detergent

shake well - vent the top a few times while shaking. Pour in a heavy duty spray bottle. Spray down your shower and watch the stains disappear. Shake the bottle each before you use it since the laundry detergent will settle out.

You can make 4 gallons of this stuff for less than one bottle of Tilex.

My favorite cleaner is Zep Mold/Mildew. You are able to purchase the cleaner at Home Depot, and it works well for me. Then I use Tilex the one that you spray when you are done taking a shower, it helps a lot!

Bleach. Normally I just wipe down the tub with diluted Lysol, but if I see mildew becoming a problem I spray on diluted bleach instead.

I just did this 5 minutes ago...I sprayed bleach on the ring in my tub. Let it set for a few minutes and it rubbed right off with little or no work at all. I have a the generic bottle of bleach spray from Wal-Mart. IT WORKS PERFECT!

Note, anything with bleach in it will cause septic tank problems, the bleach kills the bacteria that breaks down your waste in the tank.
