I like their chances a lot. They have a really great 1,2,3 starting pitching punch and a really great bullpen which is what October is all about. They may not hurt you with the long ball, but they are very good this year (much unlike last year) at timely hitting and generating runs. They are going to get healthier, if Juan Rivera gets right in time he will be some nice punch to add to the line-up, or more likely off the bench. I think that they are in a kneck and kneck race for the best team overall in baseball with Boston, but it's all about who is hot come playoff time. I do really like their chances.

They have as good a shot as any other team right now. They've got some tough games coming up though - I'm sure the Red Sox and Yankees want to get some payback for losing thier earlier series this year to them. And if I remember the Mariners swept them in Seattle earlier (I could be wrong though), but they always play the Halos tough.
All in all, every division in the AL has some great races going on this year. Good stuff to watch...

i think the angels have about as good a chance to win the series as anyone. if last year proved anything it is that it is a crapshoot once you are in the playoffs and the angels look like they have as good a shot as anyone of getting into the playoffs

I'd like to see the Angels represent the AL and I don't think there is another team in the AL that could dominate them, so either way they're going to have some exciting series.

Their lack of power concerns me. Yes, the team is pretty young, so you can't reasonably expect a lot of HR's from them. But they didn't do anything to reinforce their lineup at the trade deadline. There will be some power in free agency, but it will be questionable. Will Andruw Jones ever be the same? Can Torii Hunter put up similar numbers again? If A-Rod opts out of his contract, would he hurt the team too much financially to sustain a winning atmosphere? We will see.

Me too. Im not worried about them not making the playoffs. I think they will do good in September and October like they always do. Just don't blow it in the playoffs.

Angels all the way.
They have the best pitching in the majors.
The best home record in the majors, and nearly the best overall record in the majors. They play their best against the best teams. Last week, they took two out of three against the Pink Sox, I mean Boston.

I think ALCS at best. They are good but there are other really good teams in the A.L. It depends on their momentum and health at the end of the season.
