Karma Police definitely - Nickywireobsessive, I think there are quite a few tunes there that gave me actual goosebumps. Send shivers down my back and all that. Motorcycle Emptiness for SURE.
La Tristesse Durera, that still gets me. Brilliant.
Dying and Northern Star by Hole
Something in the Way - Nirvana
Saltwater - Chicane - not cos of the lyrics, just the sounds. Wow. I'm a real music lover, so I can't narrow it down to just one song. So many have had their influences on me.

Well it's been a while back, but the first time I saw Placebo's video for Nancy Boy premier on 120 minutes, it really caught my attention. I went out the next day and ordered their album and have been listening ever since.

The last really great, new single I heard that made me go 'wow *blink*' was "Misery Business" by Paramore, probably because I hadn't heard of the band before and hadn't expected to like it so much. Glad I discovered it ;)

''Surf's Up'' by Brian Wilson. I heard it late at night on 'The old grey whistle test' in 1971 and bought the album a day or so later.
Also ''Cathy's clown'' was awesome by the Everly Brothers.
