And I don't know but it just seems that the thrill of summer seems to diminish with each passing year too...maybe that is just me however! Work and responsibilities seem to take all the fun out of the season....

i totally agree........it's probaly because of a couple of reasons.
first, some of us tend to spend a lot of time indoors to escape the heat (staying away from beaches and such). second, yes we work, work, and work some more. most of us just can't afford the 2 weeks in Jamaica for the summer :-)

............it's really all about that cash. the more you have, the more time you can spend doing what you want to do instead o fwhat you have to do :-(

It is not just you seems to me as I get older --although I am still young--my summer get so boring and short, I didn't have one vacation this summer because I had to pay 200 dollars for this stupid class I took which was sorta kinda dumb on my part but its over. I didn't have time to go out or anything its so sad how I wanted to be older so badly and now that I am I am already starting to regret it but hey maybe I won't some day...smiles and yes the THRILL IS GONE

Nope, summer whizzes by and then before it every year it seems shorter and shorter. Is it because we are so busy parading the kids around or that we try to squeeze as much as we can into one week. Hubby can't take vacation the same as when my daughter works..so it seems as it is an endless task to together, people randomly coming over..But this time next year it will feel like summer is about two weeks..I need a vacation from vacation!

Yesterday was Memorial day... I blinked... and now today it's August! Back to school comes faster and faster every year. I agree that more and more responsibilities are part of the reason why the season zooms by us.

Christmas seems to be the same way.

I loved summer when i was younger. I miss those days! As an adult, summer seems to pass by so fast. This summer was very brief where I live. May and june was kinda windy for outdoors activities, and then its JULY and now its almost the end of August ><.

The older you get the faster time seems to go... this is because the longer you've lived, the more time you have to compare to the year ahead... the apparent lenght of the year decreases every year because of the fact that the lenght of time you've lived is greater with each passing year. remember when you were a kid... a year seemed like a decade.

Well it obviously doesn't literally go by quicker but it seems like it because Work takes time and passes it because you normally don't pay attention to time so it seems faster.
