Papoose, Hands Down. I Like Lil' Wayne but hes too ignorant 4 his own good. Papoose has respect 4 his elders and his lyrical skill is undeniable 'I Bust a cap in yo hand, leave you handicapped' and his wordplay makes me jump every time. Alphabetical Slaughter was the sickest track i heard from any underground rapper. Lil Wayne doesn't have the talent to pull off something like that. There both good but Papoose takes the victory on this one

One good reason eh...well I can give you a great one.
The reason that Papoose is better than Lil Wayne is because Papoose talks about real things that are happening in the community, while Lil Wayne doesn't. The only song Lil Wayne has made that touches on real topics was the Georgia Bush song. Papoose is all about Thug-a-cation which is basically all about educating cats who are on the streets to the realities of life, laws that they might be breaking, and different things that they can do to get out of the hood.
Lil Wayne is a beast on the mic don't get me wrong but he really isn't trying to be a leader for anything. He is on the usual studio gangster tip, while Papoose is certified in the streets. Papoose on the other time is trying to use his music to make a change in the lives of many people.
That is the reason why to me Papoose is a better MC than Lil Wayne. Because he keeps it real 100 hundred percent and realizes that music is a powerful tool that should be used properly to help change the lives of people listening to it.

Lyrically Papoose is a better MC hands down. There is o question about it. Lil Wayne just says whatever makes sense to him. He is never on point with a track. Always drifts from one subject to another. Papoose on the other hand can kill a track and MC on a freestyle. His mixtapes are a hundred times better than Wayne and he is more lyricaly conscience too.

Papoose is better in my opinion. I don't listen to a lot of Lil Wayne, so I am a bit biased here, but Papoose is real hip hop to me. He is no where near commercial or pop, and what he talks about is too real for the radios anyway. He reminds me of a new school Big L. He has street rhymes. He comes with that underground flava that I really enjoy.

people on here praise lil wayne like he's a god (see answer directly above me as an example)...............for the record; Papoose, he's far more lyrical then lil wayne..if its a popularity contest, sure wayne wins, but we're talkin about skills on the mic.

To me, Papoose is better. His lyrical content is second to none. And he is so versatile. Lil Wayne is good but kind of one dimesional.
