Yes some web sites can give you a virus if you downlaod others contain spyware and that can slow your computer down.

I'm glad you asked ..I studied this in depth last year.

If you download something from their site and whoever put it on there had a virus in their computer whether they knew it or not you would get it .

"IF" you downloaded an infected file. if you are just on their site ..just looking..no way.

If you do download something always run your anti virus just to make sure.

They do, when you acess thier info, they send you something with a virus like spyware and stuff like that.

I've gotten virii (plural of virus) from MySpace. My AV catches it though.
