I am afraid of death in the sense that i am afraid i might not be saved as a christian. Right now i am trying to devote my life to God. If i were to die before showing my love, then yes, i am currently afraid of death. I want time to live my life as a true christian before i die.

I am more afraid of dying than I am of death itself. Dying can be horrible and painful but death won't be too bad. Think about it, it wasn't bad before you were born was it? Death will be the same way at worst.

I'm at the stage of my life where the inevitability of death becomes something that preoccupies me, even keeps me awake at night. However, I'm not afraid of dying myself, rather, it's the thoughts of my parents and siblings dying, and even the notion that my own son is not gonna live forever. A psychologist friend of mine i confided in told me it's a transient state of mind that everyone experiences around their 30's, coming to terms with the reality of our mortality, but it still occupies my mind a bit more than what i would consider healthy. maybe i'll get help from a psych, maybe i won't.

I wake up suddenly in the middle of the night with an intense fear of death. It's a really weird feeling. At the same time I have some kind of fascination with an afterlife.

Death itself? No. I'm afraid of the suffering I might have to go through before I die.
