I have a beautiful, thriving community tank. Mollies, danios, tetras, catfish and a betta. The mollies breed and the other fish are very active. My water is fine. I have tried several times to add a few female swordtails. ( I want to add more color) They all end up dying. I thought swordtails were supposed to be easy keepers?!

It seems like they're not as hardy as the others, I had the same problem, my females would live for a while but the males would always die after a few days, so I just gave up on them
you can try instead
any kind of platy, they are very colorful

Hope that helps
good luck

I'm thinkin' bad luck. Instead of a few females, try one male and one female. They should all get along fine. Try it - I think it'll work fine and you'll have some pretty new fishies to enjoy!
