Lillian Vernon or similar catalogs, or the local home center or good hardware store for stick-on 4" x 4" metal squares, usually available in chrome or bronzy colors, or both; the wall will have to be 100% de-greased or the self-adhesive squares won't stick. Another idea is real ceramic tile that has a HARD glaze finish so that you can wipe the grease off of the tiles. One way or the other, you'll still be wiping up grease. 3rd choice: my friends lean an aluminum baker's sheetpan against the wall when they cook, then take it take it down when they're done cooking...and the sheetpan goes into the dishwasher. Also, USE YOUR EXHAUST FAN, use lids on the pots/pans and there's even a 'splattershield' made of fine mesh screen, with a handle, that goes on top of an open frying pan, or use an old colander that fits as a splattershield. Or go greaseless. Lots of choices.

Look at variations on back splashes. I have ceramic tiles but you have lots of options and any Home Depot or Loews type store can help you.

put some wall paper up or a pretty table cloth that is plastic. you can use thumb tacs so you don't mess up your walls. then you can change it when it gets dirty.
