Well earlier, I was sitting on my bedroom floor plugging my radio on. I noticed that I couldn't move my head or turn my head to the right, or else it hurt REALLY BAD. I have scoliosis by the way. Anyway, it kept getting worse and worse until I couldn't move my head at all and it was leaning to the left nearly all the way. Then I was getting dressed, it was gone! I still can't move my head ALL the way around without it hurting, but I can like...put it up straight. But now it's just more comfortable putting it to the side. My dad was going to call my orthopedist but didn't. Now it's coming back. What could this be?

It could be your scoliosis flaring up with new symptoms. It could be a pinched nerve. You should go ahead and see your doctor. He will be able to tell you more, and if it is something to worry about.

I've had this before. You have a pinched nerve or a stiff neck (muscles cramp up). You either strained something, or it may be caused by repetitive stress (sitting for a long time in from of the computer without stretching every 30 min or so, etc.)

Have you ever gotten a "charlie horse" in your calf before? I sometimes get these in my neck they are painful but they do go away only leaving a dull pain reminding me it was there. I have very bad curveature in my back also. i found that stretching my neck does help and eating a few bananas each day also for the potassium... I hope this helps! but if it continues i would for sure call the Dr.

It's possible you are pinching a nerve in your neck by moving it certain ways.
