Their indoctrination into the society of hypocrisy begins in elementary school and is only increased through their educational career. Then, they get to college and are inundated with nothing but liberal BS from their "bipartisan" professors who use their position of power to teach their opinions instead of facts. On top of that, the own the media as well. It's a wonder they don't come out foaming at the mouth.
I have trouble with this as well. Here's a good example of Liberal Logic.
I worked for KBR (a defense contractor) for a little while and I was surprised to see anti war Libs working for a defense contractor in support of the Iraq War. I support the war and our troops and think we're doing one hell of a job over here. If I ever stopped believing in what we were doing, I'd have quit that job and went home the next day. My morals demand such. These Libs, however, are here in the Middle East, still spouting their BS rhetoric all WHILE supporting the very thing they despise so much. Why? Money. Their morals are for sale. You only have to find the price.
Hypocrisy, Thy Name Is Liberal.

I think you have it mixed up. Republicans and Conservatives are the ones toting the "moral high ground" while they endorse bombing innocent poor people all over the world. They're also against helping our own citizen’s health. They oppose programs that provide basic necessities to our own poor people. They endorse torture of prisoners along with execution of US inmates. All of that and they still claim to have the moral high ground........just more proof that religion is flawed and provides ZERO benefits for society.
By claiming the "moral high ground" they feel that they can get the support of the bible thumpers while not actually living up to the standard they set for themselves. If anything, liberals have much higher standard of ethics and common sense. Just look at the views of your standard Lib compared to your standard Con. The lib is favor of all programs and bills that benefit the well being of the people, while Cons oppose ALL of these programs and only favor programs that benefit just their group while resulting in the suffering of everyone else.
Conservatives are not moral or ethical. Just because somebody says their something doesn't mean anything. It's their actions that speak. If you don't believe me, go research the difference between the liberals’ views impact on society and the conservatives views impact on society. You'll notice the Cons views only cater to themselves and leaves everyone else to fend for themselves. Not exactly a characteristic of a person with high morals...not to mention all programs they oppose is due to the materialistic cost($). I guess their morals have a dollar value.

Is the question why do you have a problem with liberals taking the moral high ground, or why don't you have a problem when Republicans do the same thing.

becasue it's so easy right now.
if republicans want to be thought of as morally better then they should stop filibustering any bill advanced on behalf of the american people.
they should stop supporting a completely illogical, unjust and dishonest war in iraq and start making real moves toward nations like saudi arabia.
stop being so obvious about partisan dishonesty - bush should go and they know it - but won't do anything about it.
and stop playing politics with people's lives.
if not, don't whine when you are called what you are - immoral.

Really? I have trouble with conservatives asking slanted questions that make generalized accusations of liberals without providing any evidence or examples.

Today's libs (_really_ they are 'progressive liberals' since the current lib is the hippie of the 60's) can be summed up in 6 words:
"If it feels good, do it"

Well, it's a difficult debate as the Republican party has touted themselves as the party for 'family values'. However, I'm assuming when people say this they are referring to a society wherein all people have equal access to resources.

It's easy to do what with all these Republicans getting busted for employing the services of hookers, seducing male Congressional Paige's, offering fellatio to undercover cops in public washrooms......etc. etc....
The Republican Party, the party of family values!
The most sick, twisted dysfunctional family ever!
Sure you would have, Alpha.....

Because lately, they have it. If you have a problem with it, please demand more accountability of the Republican Party. We'd all benefit.
