Christoper Pike has dozens of young adult books; mostly supernatural and/or murder mysteries. I even read them during my college years, despite really being teenage books. A few titles are: Midnight Club, Season of Passage, Last Vampire, Remember Me, etc. One of his books was a made-for-tv movie back in the early '90s called Fall Into Darkness. http://imdb.com/title/tt0116270/
The books are entertaining, and fairly short - 120-180 pages usually. I could sometimes finish one in a few hours.

angus, thongs and full frontal snogging might be right up your alley, judging by the other series you like. angus is the first book and there are books after that, i think there are 3 or something, maybe 5... i didn't get past angus it's a little young for my taste, but it was hilarious and i did laugh out loud--a lot. check it out you will like it.
