You'll get responsible people to run the country when you get responsible voters to elect 'em!
You can lay all the ills of our country on the fact that we have professional politicians running the show. They'll promise anything, suck up to anyone to get re-elected. Then they forget their constituents and follow their party's agenda once they get into office.
Our education system (thank you, Jimmy Carter and your unconstitutional Department of Education!) produces nothing but sheeple without the brains to make an informed choice during an election. The "dumbing down" of America has been a huge success! How else would people like Nancy Pelosi, Charles Schumer, Hillary Clinton, George Bush, Harry Reid, Barbara Boxer, Diane Swinestein and all the rest of the dimmocraps and repooplicans get elected and re-elected into their orifices?
Sheeple accept what candidates tell them, they accept what the media tells them - without ever questioning the validity or the qualifications of the front-runners to fill the offices for which they are running. The best way to judge a "politician" is to watch what they DO, and not listen to what they SAY. Talk is cheap and actions speak MUCH louder than words.
The oratory "soap box" has become irrelevant. The ballot box is being stuffed by uninformed, unqualified, illegal and irresponsible voters. Maybe the only solution left to the people (NOT the sheeple!) is the cartridge box ...

OK. I'm glad that's over. We need to elect a great person to run our country, not a person we want to have a beer with. Al Gore is a great person, Bush is an idiot. Now let's join together and learn to govern.
