$450.00 will be tight for 4 nights, but you can do it if your are frugal. Stay out of the fancy restaurants and hotel bars and you should be okay. All the lights and sounds somehow seem to make $ fly out of your pocket in Vegas. The place has one purpose on earth - to separate tourists from their money.

Going to be tight even without gambling. Drinking can be expensive so be careful there. Look for free passes for the clubs. Remember to tip good service because that is what Vegas is about. It seems everyone has their hand out. So just be sure you have singles at all times. Stay away from large casino restaurants. They got very fancy and expensive. For a great dinner at a small cost try the Ellis Island located across the street from the back of Ballys.

Trick I used was to divide my money equally into how many days I was staying. $450 divided by 4 is $112.50 a day. Put a paper clip on each $112 and open each at the begining of each day. That is your budget for the day. What is left over from that day put into the next days budget. Worked well.

Good luck and have fun .. thats what it is all about.

A budget of $450 is definitely doable but as many have pointed out already that is a very tight budget. Your biggest expense will be alcohol and club admission. Most of the newer clubs like Tryst, Body English, Pure, Light, TAO, Jet, etc. charge $20 to $30 admission. Drinks are normally double the price compared to most bars. A good website that reviews a lot of the clubs and provides admission prices and average drink prices is www.jackcolton.com Good luck.

I've lived in vegas for about 10 yrs now spent about 4 of those years clubbing.

It can be enough if you do it right. After thousands of dollars of doing it wrong, I learned a few tricks.

1. Get tipsy outside the club. This will save you tons of money. I usually get some vodka and a big powerade bottle and do half & half. Pound as much as you can from to the club doors and toss it just before you get in. Then just grab one drink and milk it. Beers are from $6-10 and cocktails usually $10+ inside the club.

2. Some of the cheaper/no-cover clubs are just as fun as the spendy ones on the strip. I like to go to the Whisky at Green Valley Ranch - no cover, very little wait, lots of people, good music, very nice outdoor sandbar. Normal clubs on the strip you are looking at a long wait, $20+ cover ($15 if you're a girl), and stricter dress code.

3. Eat OFF of the strip. Vegas is no longer home of the $2 Prime rib like it used to be. A buffet on at a strip hotel can easily go over $20/person. If you have transportation, go a few blocks off the strip and you will pay normal fastfood prices. If you really want to save, go to one of the locals casinos during off-hours and you can still get a good deal on a big meal (like $6 Steak meals at station casinos).

In general, think of ths strip (vegas boulevard) like disneyland - they are going to overcharge for everything.

As a side note, make sure you bring the proper club attire. A general rule of thumb is "No hats, no sportswear, nothing baggy/thuggish looking." I typically wear jeans with no rips/holes (though I believe girls can get away with fashionably 'destroyed' jeans), dress shoes, and a collared shirt. I've never had a problem getting into the club with that.

Good luck :)

For alcohol, gambling and food, you need a lot more money. But for just for food and the slots, $450 is fine, if you are good at the slots and someone else pays for the motel. I don't gamble either, except for the slots. BUt it depends on the motel, what online site you book through and when you go.

If ALL you plan on buying is fast food and drinks then it should be enough.

But go to Le Café Île St. Louis at the Paris and have some corned beef hash for breakfast for me. It's *so* good!!!!
