I know one quarter doesn't count, but I was very impressed with Joey Harrington's performance against the Jets. He is moblie and was very good passing against the Jets' #1 defense. He is a much better passer than the Falcons have had since Chris Chandler.

All of you will think this is the stupidest thing but he will be good. He needs to win 10 games and damn right he will. DO you remember when mcnabb was injured and all of you were like garcia cant do ****. Well he did and prooved EVERYONE wrong. And harrington is on his last strike so he will definatley step it up. ANd harrington was a bad qb cuz his offensive line and wide recievers sucked

Atlanta has a good O-Line, and with Petrino's zone-blocking scheme, Harrington should have more time in the pocket to avoid the bad decisions that have always plagued him.
That being said, don't expect miracles. Don't forget that the reason they had such a powerful running attack was Mike Vick. Dunn has definitely lost a step or three, and Norwood hasn't proven he can carry the load. The recievers are all mediocre except for Horn, who has great hands but has slowed down a lot, too. They are a .500 team, at best.

I think Harrington will be better than most people think...I'm not saying punch Super Bowl tickets with the Falcons on them...but, I think they could go 10-6, maybe even 11-5 and playoffs...

Football is a crazy game! You never know what will happen. Don't count the Falcons out!!! Nobody thought the Red Skins would win a super bowl with a washed up quarter back named Doug Williams, but guess what? **** happens!

Harrington is,was, and always will be a bad quarterback... he is only good as a backup qb, and the falcons shouldve looked elsewhere for a qb... probably the worse decision theyve made since getting michael vick haha

No! He has never won anywhere else. And now he is facing a great amount of presser with the whole Mike Vick thing. Watch for him to fall on his face and the Falcons get the #1 pick and take Brian Brohm

harrington cannot lead the falcons to big wins

hes not a big time player

the falcons are better off throwing the season, finishing 3-13, and getting darren mcfadden at next years draft

Well...the thing is that wasn't a regular season game, it was preseason so i wasn't that impressed. But yes Harrington can win but don't expect a playoff year for them. He has shown great improvement when he left Detroit and now that nobody is expecting him to be great with the Facons, he may have a break out year. Hey, it can happen.....

Yes, they can win with him. He's already a decent passer, and it will force the Falcons to FINALLY upgrade their O-line a bit to get their ground attack more balanced and give Harrington more time in the pocket.

I think so. ATL has a better offensive line to protect him than any other line he has had. He also has some of the best RB in the league to take pressure of him. He has veteran players like Crumpler and Horn to thrown to. He just needs to learn their system and stay consistent.
