Last time I heard it was in Peter Gabriel's same named song, I doubt it's uncool, but does it really matter?

I only hear it said in movies or sometimes I see it in books.
It's not that its uncool but its not a natural way of speaking.

"I hit the big time, he hit the big time..."
Its so much easier to say something like "whoo hoo."
Followed by singing "I'm in the money..."

My brother crawled at 4 months. He grew to become right into a brilliant toddler, and that's honestly achieveable. i comprehend of different toddlers who did no longer crawl 'til they have been 8 months, and a few that never crawled in any respect; they only have been given up and walked, at some point... It truly varies, yet one can not decide what different toddlers are or are actually unable to, in keeping with what their very own toddler can or can not do. ;) to respond to the question: my mom-in-regulation insists that my husband grew to become into potty experienced at 4 months... As in, completely experienced! nicely, he wasn't; even my husbands' father admits that she exaggerates notably plenty each and every thing, and we've %. of while he grew to become into *truly* guidance (plenty to hubbys' embarrassment), which grew to become into around 2.

It can be used to refer to fame or success, or to emhasize the importance of something. For instance, President Bush has tasted success big time! ( Don't take it seriously though!)

I use the phrase "big time" all the time.

Ex: University of Maryland football is "big time"; Duke football is "small time."
