Girls that age are trying to "grow up", so my guess is to get her something that says she's older but not too old!! My 10 year old said, music, play make up, nail polish, clothes! All that to me say she wants to express herself and find out who she is(personality)!!! They are trying to be big girls now!! But don't get carried away!!! They are still young.

I've recenly started giving only Christian books, music, etc. Christian Book Distributers have great clearance a lot of times (super cheap), and there are some really good used book sites like www.thriftbooks .com and Alibris.I recently gave a 9 year old a Praise CD made for kids. I bought it at CBD on clearance for like $3.00.They loved it. God bless!!

i always get either a doll[they usually ask for one]or some crafts,or a sticker book with stickers!

they still like stickers and stuff like that I'd go with that route..
