Do the Tigers have the fortitude and gumption to beat the Indians?

The real question is are the Tigers ready to get out of the team funk they have been in since the All star break.. We are very fortunate that Cleveland's slide has coincided with ours, our we could be 5 to 10 games back by now.. If we get out of this, and peak at the right time, it could be the right kind of push going into the post season, aka St. Louis last year.. played barely good enough to get to the post season, then caught a wave and rode it to the title.. As for the orginal question, they do have the fortitude and gumption, but it's up to Detroit to take it all away..

I hope so. Because the Yankees will have an easier time beating the Indians in the playoffs, than the Tigers, if it ever comes to that. Sorry Georgie, but look at it this way, it is a compliment. The Tigers are way better than Cleveland, I don't care what the standings say.

How big would a sweep be here? The loser of this series will be in some serious trouble from here on out.

Detroit has to come away with 2 games considering they face the red hot Yankees in 3 days.

If the Tigers don't start playing better, then yes. Of course the Indians haven't been playing that great either. I think the Tigers will end up taking it though.

yea i think so. Detroit unfortunatley has forgot how to play baseball latley. I hope they can pull it together tho and string like 4 or 5 wins together. its gonna be tough tho i mean we have the bastard yanks right after we leave cleveland. Id rather lose to the yankees than cleveland tho if i had the choice.

That will be a great division race, but the Yanks helped you out plenty by beating the Indians up this weekend...
