This is coming form a 15 year old, grade 9.

I think that you should get him a wii, I have one and I love it! It never get's boring, I also have an Ipod, and sure, I listen to it, but eventually, you will get bored of it quickly, and the Wii opens new doors to gaming, it is not like a Playstation where you sit on a couch and excersise your fingers, a Wii make you get off the couch and sweat like crazy! And he would love Wii, I Iove music more then gaming but the Ipod, is just like a $5 MP3 player, just with more features, and the Wii is for the whole family.

I hope he liesk what every you get him.

Definitely the Wii!!! Its been my addiction for about 7 months. Something you need to keep in mind though, Wiis are expensive. I bought my fiancee a Wii for Valentines and so far between remotes, games, nunchucks, the sports pack, classic remotes and all that stuff we've spent between $850-950. And thats having it less than a year!! The games are 50 a piece on average so thats what really adds up. If you can afford it, the Wii is something they will have for YEARS to come (and you'll get a kick out of it too).

Personally, I'd give the Wii. Makes future gift giving easier in the form of new games, etc. It is fun to play for everyone and your? high schooler may even let you play with him/her. LOL, well mine does.

iPod Nano is very nice, however, it depends on how involved they are with music, podcasts, audio books etc etc..... If the high schooler is involved with lots of music and audio interests, the storage capacity may not be enough...... iTunes music card gifts in the future may go unused as teens can get hold of CDs to fill their iPods.

The Wii may still be hard to get as the allotments are continually sold out at stores.

Gifting for this age group is really hard.....so I sympathize with you. Ask a friend or another high schooler too.

Good luck.

I'd say an iPod or a flash drive. Or a graphing calculator if they don't already have one.
