James Brown influenced his followers. The Beatles influenced the entire world, although this does not include everybody. The Beatles not only changed music, they changed the CULTURE of the world. The Beatles were a much bigger influence on the world than James Brown, but I still like BOTH of their styles of music. I picked up a guitar because of the Beatles, but now my style of playing would probably be better suited to James Brown's band.
