Recently, Barak Obama threatened to invade and violate Pakistani sovereignty. Hilary Clinton stated that she would not take the nuclear option off the table when discussing Afghanistan and Pakistan. Iran has been leveled with threats of a nuclear strike. Forgetting that the US has invaded Iraq violating international law, my question asks how can people (particularly Americans) let this belligerent and threatening behavior pass without labeling itself a terrorist state. The US has thrown this label around liberally especially to states such as Cuba and Venezuela. How would you react to any politician from Cuba, Pakistan, Venezuela said "We will keep the nuclear option (or invasion) on the table." Americans would be aghast. But it seems Americans are hypocritical.

Oh that's easy. We're much better at it than everyone else. If someone else can mount such a threat, then they'll get away with it too.

Other countries do threaten to use nukes and other countries do threaten to invade other countries. Think recently of North Korean and Iran, both of which have tried to build up their own nuke system and had a reason for doing so in mind (that's why it's such a big deal and other countries do all they can to stop them). I can think of issues with Cyprus and Turkey, Palestine and Israel who have had ongoing border issues.

Like it or not the US is the world leader, wants it to keep it that way, and throws their weight around to get what they want. ANY other countries in US position would do the same thing.

Well skippy, that's what comes from being a Super power.

BTW, since when is going into a country with the approval of the UN "violating" anything? Saddam was laughing at the sanctions against him and it took the biggest kid on the block to smack that bully in the face.

The US has never had imperialistic tendencies towards another country, so when we start talking "invasion", it's not for the same reason other countries do.

I think it has to do with the U.S.'s military might, in all actuallity the U.S. could destroy any nation 10 times over. I think America should pull its global and military aid from the rest of the world and see how quickly the world crumbles. I do not condone every action taken by my government, but I do believe the Western world is in an ideological battle with terrorists and the end game is looking like death for one or both. I find it quite amusing that other nations constantly badger the U.S. over our foreign policy, but glady take billions of dollars in aid from us annually. The Bush Administration may have over stepped the bounds of rational American's, but the world must realize we have always done more good for the world than harm and unlike some nation's our president doesn't hold office forever.(though it may seem like it right now) P.S. Cuba, Venezula, Pakistan and Iran are a bigger threat to their neighbors than to the U.S., we have an ocean dividing us. Perhaps you should take the threat from socialist, muslim, tyrannical radicals a little more seriously or not.

You forget...Obama and Hillary are only posturing to get votes and have no intention of ever doing anything, and Pakistan and Cuba and Venezuela are well aware of the fact that no Democrat will ever do anything, so they hear Osama obama and Hill the thrill talk and then they giggle about what a shmoe you are to believe that stuff...
