I had never thought of being shy as being selfish, until I read an article about it. Perhaps the intentions are good: a way to "shame" people out of their shyness.

How can shyness be selfish? Shyness is a part of a person's personality. Some people are naturally shy while others are naturally outgoing. Shyness is no more selfish than extroversion.

Shyness is just a natural thing. I don't think anyone intentionally acts shy therefore I don't think it has anything to do with being selfish...

Allot of people could see it that way. I don't. I have a friend who is very shy. She only opens up to people she really trusts and loves. Like me. I had to earn that. It's not selfish at all.

I remebered having wallpaper in the bathroom ever since I could remeber. The wallpaper is a deep mix of the colors yellow-orange-brown with flowers on it. We had the door replace and it uncovered some of the hidden pieces of wallpaper. The piece of the wallpaper that was covered for years was white....ewwwww

No, I'd think the opposite...loud, agressive people are much more likely to be selfish than shy ones..shy people are just insecure about themselves...
