Detroit Tigers.. Have never followed another team.. from 1975 when they lost more than 100 games.. to Mark 'the Bird' Fidrych nearly throwing a no hitter in his first major league start against the Cleveland Indians one Saturday afternoon early in the 1976 seasonand I was mezmerized as a 13- year old by his mound manicuring, talking to the ball antics..
To when I felt cheated missing the 1984 season and bless you boys, 35-5 out of the gate, as I was stationed in Okinawa with the USMC. We got the World Series in Japan 24 hours later, long before sattelites or internet was widely used.. I had to get up at 5am to hear the broadcast.. I attended the only playoff win against the Twins in 1987, the only post season game I have ever been in the stands for. I suffered thru the 119 loss season, and only missed a handful of games on TV. I will be, am and always will be a Tiger fan, whether we go to the World Series, or earn the right for the first overall pick.. I will never root for another team..

I don't see how some one could give a thumps down for an answer.
Well I'm for the most part people are going to give there hometown club as am I. The Minnesota Twins not have the greatest season this year and have flopped in the playoff for a few years but they give us some great baseball to watch here. They have some great players with great personalities and they are a blast to watch. Yeah they don't have the rep of the Yankees or the hard luck stick with them through and through fans of the Red Sox and Cubs but they compete on the same level as the best teams of today.

Yankees since 1990 when I was old enough to choose what I wanted to watch on tv. Oh and we were the joke of the league then and I didn't hear anything from Yankee haters until the turn of the century.....Yankees have tradition. FACE IT!!!

The Bad News Bears. They had it all - the speed of Ahmad Abdul Rahim, the incredible power of (presumably steroid free) Kelly Leak, and the greatest pitcher in Little League history in Amanda Whurlitzer.
