I don't like to hurt anything, animals or people, my dog flash runs away constantly and i'm always having to jump in the car and go find him, the other day i was so mad at him, i spanked him on the butt with my flip flop, that was the last time i hurt an animal, i don't think i really hurt him because he just looked at me in shock...then i felt so so bad that i spanked him that i couldn't help but pet him and tell him i was sorry....LOL>..and oh my gosh if i ever hurt a human i'd feel the worse pain in the world, i don't like hurting anyone physically or emotionally, it just doesn't feel good and doesn't come natural to me.

I don't hurt anything on purpose but my cat is always under my feet so I tend to step on him now and then. As to the other part of your question, the sympathy humans feel towards animals and lack there of towards other humans has always amazed me. I have friends that aggravate me all the time by donating money to the homeless animals and never think about the people who need a lending hand. These same friends did not even know a genocide was occurring in Darfur and didn't care to learn about it when I told them. Alot of people have their priorities messed up. Wow you got me heated over a simply question.

Hurt an animal? I would never in my life hurt an animal! I never did, either! I would say humans are more like animals. I hope you're not expecting people to respond in ways that could lead others down the wrong path, because nobody should hurt an animal, unless it's by accident, NOT unpurpose!

I cannot see why one should feel worse about hurting a person than hurting an animal. Presumably hurting a person is done intentionally so at the time the hurter believes the recipient is getting just treatment. Other than the humane killing of a beast for food or gentle smack administered for training, there can be no excuse for harming an animal.

I think it's easier to hurt a human because there are emotions involved. You can hurt an animal's feelings (do they have feelings?) when you ignore one and pay more attention to the other. Humans you can hurt by saying the wrong thing accidentally. Plus, we think of animals as defenseless, but humans can tell me when they're upset about what I did.
You make me want to go outside right now and pet my dogs! :-)

Ok this is a little scary but.... when i was prob about 8 i was changing the water in my fish bowl and i decided that i was sick of having a fish and looking after it all the time so while i had it out of the water i put it on the chopping board and i stabbed it and went outside and i threw it off the balcony and i told my parents that it died so i flushed it down the toilet.
I would never do anything to hurt an animal again i think i was a child and it scares me know when i think about it.

I ran over a chipmunk the day before yesterday. Iam pretty sure it hurt him. Although it wasnt intentional.
I spanked the dog for eating out of the garbage last week. Pretty sure that was unpleasant for him, but he thought twice about eating from the garbage again.
I dislocated a mans pinky, and kicked him in the crotch once for making disgusting comments and advances towards me. Pretty sure that hurt too. However, having been molested as a child you can bet i didnt feel bad about hurting that human.
Its all relative.

Last night I accidently stepped on my dog who was laying behind me at the computer. I also hurt my wifes feelings because I would not be intimate with her while she was drunk. I don't see any difference between hurting a dog or a human being because they are both equal in my eyes. And yes it makes me feel bad to hurt anything. Everytime I kill a deer a little part of me dies with it.

The last time I went fishing, a couple of years ago. I imagine I hurt both the worms I used, and the fish I caught pretty bad. I don't even fish anymore because I feel bad doing it. I hate hurting other living things.

Bugs and insects don't count, I kill them all the time. But I accidentally killed my cat by running her over. She was deaf and got out the door and I didn't know it. She didn't hear the car start and I had no way of knowing she was under my car and I backed over her. It freaked me out so bad, I was screaming and crying. The memory of that moment is vivid and still is horrifying. I would have done anything to change that day, but thanks for asking.........morbid. If it would have been a human I'd be typing this from a padded cell.
