Emotions are part of being human however, if you decide every question, every statement emotionally you will not always go looking for all the particulars of the subject.
They used to call it going 'half-cocked', in other words you just immediately start yelling or get angry without listening.
That is how people are getting away with a lot of stupid stuff that normally would have been reasoned out as unfruitful for society or just plain wrong.
My family used to call it keeping your head below the horizon, that way you don't make anyone upset, but in doing so a lot of bad things can continue because nobody will stop to reason out the issue. Others will just let the yelling party get away with whatever they are doing. That isn't sensible but it seems that is the way society has been running the last 30-40 years.

It's ok to be emotional. I think that if you are REALLY emotional that might be a little bit weird. But i find it very cute when guys are somewhat emotional.
Advantages- you wont's hold everything in when you are angry or upset.
Disadvantages- there is only a disadvantage if you're obsesively emotional and that would be that it could get a little out of control and not to burst your bubble it can get a little annoying if the guy is so emotional that he is crying all the time and is really insecure.
Hope this helps!

I think that everyone needs emotions if we didnn't have emotions then everyone would be exactly the same. Emotions define our personality and the way we feel about things. The only big disadvantage I see some people can be over dramatic or over emotional and that can be hard to deal with. Overall though emotionals are wonderful.

Yes, one should be emotional, but not be controlled by one's emotions. The emotional centers of the brain can override the rational logic which can cause major conflict.
Emotions reveal how a person feels about a certain goal or how a person views a certain event. In other words, emotions tell us whether a goal is being enhanced or thwarted. For example, if I have a goal of getting to work on time, but my car won't start, I will probably feel frustrated. Furthermore , if a friend of mine offers me a ride to work, then I'll probably feel happy at the thought of reaching my goal.

I think both, there needs to be a balance. I am very emotional (especially during this pregnancy) and there are a lot of disadvantages, especially anxiety and stress. My hubby, on the other hand, came back from Iraq showing no emotions at all. He comes off as very insensitive, even though he's not.

advantage of being emotional is not holding things in thus being able to deal and express the problem at hand versus if you are not emotional u will find yourself bottling things up and backfiring on you in the end. However opposite to this, being emotional too much can cause depression, anxiety, and stress. you want to keep it under control. In other words don't sweat the small stuff and handle your emotions in a healthy way.

you have to be emotional about the right things . There are good emotions and bad emotions, and you cant really control it one way or the other. Some can. Its best to try to keep the bad emotions in check and experience the good emotions to the fullest.

Depends what your emotions are based on.
Emotions are automatic responses to your value system.
If your parent dies, it's going to be very painful for you, but not for me. Unless you didn't like your parent.
On 9-11, many people danced in the street with joy, while others were sickened, horrified.
So, if your emotions are based on proper values, your emotions help you. If not, not.

Are you talking emotional or are you really talking sensitive to others. Emotional is a word that spans a lot of territory. It means a lot of different things to different people.

Of course you should be emotional! I mean, not completely over the top emotional, like crying when you, I dunno, see someone eating an ice cream cone or something. But without emotions, you're just a machine, with no compassion or empathy. What kind of life is that?
