For the life of me I cannot find out how to lift up the seat to get to the small storage compartment. Forgot to ask when I bought it, and unfortunately the manual is in there. Any help is greatly appriciated. Only serious responses please.

I own a 2003 Shadow Spirit...you do not have to take off the seat to get to the small compartment.

When sitting on the bike, the small compartment is located on the left side behind a plastic, "fake chromed" cover. Pull on it and it will pop right off. Then use your ignition key to open the plastic lock and the compartment's cover will lift up. Inside should be the owner's manual and a toolkit.

Always give year, make, engine size and model # when asking questions. We need all of that info to give an informed answer.
Shadow Spirits come in different engine sizes and years.
Anyway... the seats don't lift up.
They're bolted to the bike.
The owners manual is behind the left side cover.
Pull it away from the bike, it pops off.

Call the place you bought it and ask. Serious enough of a response to suit you?
