I never cleaned the OTC gas med droppers with my children. Only cleaned the ones that weren't sealed in a bottle. If it really bothers you, just clean it and don't tell her to rest your mind (I am a TOTAL clean freak!!). Anyway, never had a problem and I've never known any of my friend to clean the dropper of the Gas Medicine. I just carried it with us everywhere and used it as needed! Also, remember a baby's immune system is ten times stronger than an adults :) Also, the gas drops will be gone before you even know it - good luck! Also to clarify I am only referring to gas medicine, which is only Bismuthe. If your child was actually "sick" with a stimach virus there would be a concern to wash in hot water immediatly to kill any bacteria. Gas drops are for "new" tummies and not "sick" children!
