the yankees will make the playoffs. they have the best offense and a much improved starting staff from the beginning of the year. chamberlain vizcaino and rivera are enough in the bullpen. And in case people haven't noticed the yankees are tied for the lead in the al wild card. There is no way that the mariners will outplay the yankees the rest of the way. They will definitely at least take the wild card and if they play well and take four of their remaining six games against the red sox they will win the division

I love the answers of no yanks suck....anyone who doesnt believe the yanks will make it are idiots. The reason everyone keeps using is they are playing shitty teams. Well they swept cleveland and beat the O's last night who last I checked took 2 of 3 against the sox. If the sox continue to play 500 ball like they have since the break they will be watching the Yankees, Indians, Angels, and M's in the post season!
Hey Tigers fan....Tigers will not win the division this year!

The Yankees tend to get hot in late August and September and Boston tends to choke. To answer your question I think yes as a wild card if not the AL East champs. I just hope my Mariners can squeek in!

I have a feeling that they will, even though I'm a Mets fan. There's just too much talent on that team, and it's so rare to have it all go dry all at the same time, the way it did early this season. The odds are with them.

I would prefer them not to, but essentially, I have to wait until I see the x or y before their team name in the paper to say for sure, or better still, if I see the same x and y beside Boston, Cleveland and Detoit, that would be better.
