That seemed to die off quickly.............what gives?

Actually it wasn't a terrorist. It was a disgruntled employee and it never made it to the shuttle, it was found while being tested prior to shipping to Nasa. If it had gotten shipped, it would have been discovered by nasa as the test extensively all equipment going on board for the shuttle or for delivery to the space station.

Excellent question. NASA and the Bush Administration squelched that story quickly and the MSM let it die.

I wonder if they are still investigating the crime and don't want to release details to tip off a suspect.

Either way, there is a definite percentage of people who don't like NASA and want it permanently defunded. So I wouldn't be surprised if they catch such a person.

No-I didn't hear a thing about that.
Of course the last big news about NASA and astronauts turned out to be pure fiction. ( drunk astronaut story)
