Her period was suppose to come on this week, but it came on last week, and she is still bleeding? What could be the causes, and how serious might this be?

It requires a consultation with a doctor (gyno) and do it at once!

Alot of things can affect a women's period. Weight lose or gain, stress...many many things. Does she have abnormally painful cramps, or is she bleeding more than ususal? B/c then it might be important to see a docter. If she's started or stopped taking the Pill, that can affect it also. Most of the time, it's not a big deal. Have her talk to her gyno.

A woman's natural hormone levels can change at any time, which can throw off her menstrual cycle. This is normal and nothing to worry about unless she starts experiencing irregular periods every month.

If she has been bleeding for more than 8 days straight, she should consult her gynecologist.

THERE ARE A LOT OF CAUSES FOR THAT. USUALLY CHLAMYDIA OR SYPHILIS WILL CAUSE ABNORMAL BLEEDING, BUT I DON'T THINK THIS IS THE CASE. STRESS IS A BIG FACTOR ALSO. HAS SHE BEEN STRESSED LATELY? I THINK IT JUST CAME DOWN EARLY THIS MONTH, IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.
