Does anyone know the answer, or possibly a resource I could have referred to obtain the answer myself?

I believe it's proper to use collegiate to refer to both a college and a university. Don't know of a separate word for referring to a university (Universal? LOL)

Collegiate, as it applies to a university, means "consisting of individual colleges".
