My friend was reaching under the kitchen sink and swear she saw a little brown roach scurry away. We immediately cleaned out everything from under the sink and, although I know not so healthy for us, sprayed the crap out of the cracks and possible openings with ant/roach Raid spray. Our building has had roach complaints for over a year but I've been lucky enough in three years to never see one.

I looked as carefully as I could but I don't think there's any roach droppings (but who knows) and i haven't seen anything else since. I'm leaning towards the side of caution but wondered what else I should be doing/looking for! Help!!

If you only saw one you might be alright. I think you did the right thing spraying for them. Go out and buy some of those roach bait traps and put them around the house too. I always put those things out the first day whenever I move into a new place.

Common rule, if you saw one, you have thousands. Roaches don't care for the light, try getting up in the middle of the night you will probably see more than one. Raid and other pesticides are great to kill the ones you see, but you need to kill the nest.
