perpendicular lines have a slope that is the negative reciprocal of the other line.. parallel contain the same slope.

1) rewrite: y = (1/5)x + 2
perpendicular slope: -5
passes thru (2,5): 5 = (-5)(2) + c; c = 15
perpendicular line eqn: y = -5x + 15 = E

2) rewrite: y = -2x + (5/2)
parallel slope: -2
passes thru (-3,5): 5 = -2(-3) + c; c = -1
parallel line eqn: y = -2x - 1 = D

3) rewrite: y = 2x - (8/5)
parallel slope: 2
passes thru (2,4): 4 = 2(2) + c; c = 0
parallel line eqn: y = 2x = C

4) rewrite: y = (1/3)x - 3
perpendicular slope = -3
passes thru (3,5): 5 = -3(3)+c; c = 14
perpendicular line eqn: y = -3x + 14 = B

5) A.. by elimination.

Note: You could have simply rewrote the original eqns in y = mx + b form and determined the slope (m) of each and stopped there b/c no two slopes in the answers are the same. However, I worked out each one....

Question A
x - 5y = - 10
5y = x + 10
y = (1/5) x + 2
Gradient of perpendicular is m = - 5.
Passes thro` (2 , 5)
y - 5 = (- 5)(x - 2)
y - 5 = - 5 x + 10
y = - 5 x + 15

Question B
4x + 2y = 5
2y = - 4 x + 5
y = - 2 x + 5 / 2
Parallel line has m = - 2 and passes thro` (-3 , 5)
y - 5 = - 2 (x + 3)
y - 5 = - 2x - 6
y = - 2x - 1

Question C
10x - 5y = 8
5y = 10x - 8
y = 2x - 8 / 5
Parallel line has m = 2 and passes thro`(2,4)
y - 4 = 2 (x - 2)
y - 4 = 2x - 4
y = 2x

Question D
x - 3y = 9
3y = x - 9
y = (1/3) x - 3
Perpendicular line has m = - 3 and passes thro`(3,5)
y - 5 = (-3)(x - 3)
y - 5 = - 3x + 9
y = - 3x + 14

Question E
y = - 4x - 1
Parallel line has m = - 4 and passes thro` (5,0)
y - 0 = (- 4)(x - 5)
y = - 4 x + 20

so actually all of those r distinctive selection systems a million) a interger is a elementary entire selection and its damaging. (So 40 5, 3, and -769 could be intergers, 5.4 does not be) 2) A organic selection are the 1st ten numbers, the two a million-10 or some say that they are 0-9. 3) an entire selection is a selection it particularly is for counting or referred to as the counting numbers. (0,a million,2,3,4,5...) 4) Rational numbers are numbers that have a diverse cost, a selection that ends like a million.25 unlike a million/3 it particularly is .333333333... 5) Irrational numbers are numbers that dont have a diverse cost, or in no way end like a million/3.

to find the slope, put the equation in slope intercept form.
y=mx+b
m=slope
parallel lines have the same slope.
perpendicular lines have the opposite reciprocals.
once you have the slope, you can plug the numbers into the point slope form y-y1=m(x-x1) and answer in slope intercept form
