Only recently aping Western practises, the so called "Chiropractors" have started practising in india.30 years back-in 70s Indians were not even aware of this terminology. But in Ayrveda-6000 years old(in Panca Karma and Marma Vigjnaan) and in the "Putthoor"(in Andra praesh)tradition, generally bone and specifically Spine manipulators are there, who claim,to releive the back pain in the Cervical(Greeva Sthambam),Thoracic, and Lumbar regions.People beleive only in the traditional Indian techniques (and a large number of people make use of it) than the recently introduced "Chiropractice"-Podiatrics etc.

These types of therapies originated in the East far before Chiropractic started in the states 100 years ago.
People have told me when you are in India, when you go to the barber shop they will very often give you a chiropractic type adjustment at the end! Don't know if I'd recommend that, but at least you get your money's worth.
