I am reposting a note that I sent to a dear freind.

The most feared word in the world is; Change
Why?; Fear of the unknown.
What is F.E.A.R.? False Evidence Appearing Real
Justification; every reason you can think of not to face your fear.
Satisfaction; When you act against your fear and find it was not so bad and you are proud of yourself.
Happiness; When you are true to yourself not someone else.
Empowerment; When you take charge of your own life, and defeat those who try to control you.
Courage; When you go around the obstacles instead of sitting staring at them.
Life; The fullfillment of desire.
Death; When you fail to live.
Choices; You can decide or by default someone will choose for you. Deciding not to choose is also a choice.

I used to fear change but now that I have looked it in the face and stood up to it, I just jump in, work hard and do my best. In that I get satisfaction, empowerment and courage.

I have to agree that even the thought of rejection is fearful, even though we must not become obsessed and let it consume our lives to the point of blocking the route to success.

How about procastination?

I don't feel that all people fear change. I don't know where you got that answer but I think you're wrong. I think the thing that most people fear if you will is rejection. Nobody on this planet wants to believe that they are insignificant in any way shape or form. We all require acceptance. So the opposite of that would be rejection. Just my two cents...

DYING

THE THOUGHT OF KNOWING THAT YOU WILL NOT HAVE A CHANCE TO GO ON WITH LIFE, TALK TO YOUR FAVOURITE PEOPLE, AND WHETHER THEY WILL BE FINE AFTER YOU LEAVE, THE PAIN YOU WILL LEAVE BEHIND, THAT YOU WILL NEVER HAVE A CHANCE TO SETTLE THE FAMILY FEUD YOU HAVE WITH YOUR SISTER.

JUST THE FEAR OF KNOWING YOU WILL BE NO MORE AND WHETHER YOU WILL BE REMEMBERED OR JUST BE BURIED A VOILA, YOU WERE AS GOOD AS NEVER LIVED.
