You have probably left things a little late for inducing saying as you are due tomorrow, but some inducing methods help in making sure your period starts tomorrow and could even help your period come to an end sooner.
As you are due on your period then your uterus lining would be built up enough to induce without problems, that is provided you don't have any serious health problems, if that is the case I'd advise as it's too late to do your own research on inducing method then to try to delay instead of inducing.
Herbal methods are the safest methods, again provided you have no serious health problems. The herbs used to induce menstruation are potent enough to be used in home abortions so as such are more than potent enough to use to induce menstruation when used correctly, couple herbal methods with increased vitamin C which will starve your uterus of progesterone, or of course sex and/or masturbation as this increases blood flow to your vagina as well as releasing the hormone oxytocin on orgasm that bring on uterus contractions.
Parsley is the favourite method for inducing menstruation as it is safe and as a mild emmenagogue it relaxes your cervix to allow menstruation to occur. Most people just drink this as a tea, simply chopping up a few handfulls of parsley and simmering in a pan of water (making sure not to let the water boil as this effects the herbs potency!), leave it for an hour and then strain and add honey to taste. Taking that four times a day just as a nice herbal tea will induce your periods.
Other herbs that are good to use would be Pennyroyal which is an abortifacient so causes uterus contractions, you prepare this in the same way as parsley tea, Dong Quai is similar to parsley in it's affects and again made in a similar way by using the root – only the root of Dong Quai should be used, and it should not be used if you suffer from heart problems, cancer or take aspirin.
Other herbs such as Mugwort, Black Cohosh and Rue will work too, but I personally would strongly recommend parsley for inducing menstruation as it's safer than some other methods.
Anything that the doctor gives you to delay or induce menstruation (this soon to your period inducing via medication isn't an option as it takes too long) is going to be hormonal, the problem is not that it makes you sick it is why it makes you sick. You have hormones going through your body all the time, the hormones in hormonal birth control and medication used for inducing or delaying menstruation are the same as these hormones, it's more to do with how increasing certain hormones makes your body feel - a good GP should be able to determine what will or will not make you feel unwell.
If not on hormonal birth control than you would likely be given something like Provera to help you delay your period, this provides your body with progesterone which suppress your period and then once you stop taking it you will menstruate due to the drop in the hormones.
You say you would have to cancel, I would ask whether that is actually the case or not, I know a lot of women feel a shame about their body and menstruation so would not want to go to a gyno because of that - they have seen it all before, as long as your period isn't going to cause problems you don't need to cancel. You could try calling the hospital and asking if it would be a problem, they may also be willing to change the date for something a little sooner for you.

If you are going to have your period at that time you would have to reschedule, or at least call the gyn up and let them know you have your period so they can reschedule you or tell you to "come on in".
No way to induce or delay it. If you try to do so you could end up making it come around your gyn appt.
You might end up not having it when you go to the gyn if you do nothing. Just wait and see what happens.

to be honest hun, the only way to delay a period is to take hormones. the simplest way is to take the pill but not have a break btween packets - you finish one pack & go straight onto the next. speak to the dr`s if your really worried about it.
sorry hun!

I'd recommend taking a product called "Balance" by a company called "Syringa". It absolutely cured my wife's irregularity and absent menses. You're cycle will self-regulate after using this product for a couple weeks, and you can kiss the artificial hormone therapy goodbye forever. By the way, I have nothing to do with this company, nor do I sell the product. But when you start using it and experience the results, your life will change for the better in every aspect...
