I have a VHS tape that is NOT available as a DVD... I have searched eBay & Googled til the cows came home, but cannot find a DVD version...

Are there commercial places I can go to transfer it to DVD so I can watch the movie again? I no longer have a VHS player and can't see any reason to buy one just for one movie...

PS: This is a commercially available movie on a store-bought tape, not a home taping or home movie...

you might have trouble getting a commercial place to do this since it might be copyright infringement. what you're planning on using it for wouldn't be, i don't think, since you're only planning on watching a movie that you paid for. i think it's legally ok to make one copy of any media for archival purposes. off the subject, i guess, but you might use that info to convince a professional to make the copy for you. you might use a computer with a/v inputs and a dvd burner, but you'd still need to borrow a vcr. oh well. good luck.

Look up media services in your area. I know of a place here in Reno that would do something like that.
