They should be.

They are worried and I agree they should be. They keep wishing Thompson would enter the race. The conservative bloggers are holding their noses to vote for Guiliani. The conservative Christians won't support Romney because of his religion. McCain is out of touch with the people and his fellow Republicans because of Iraq. All I hear from the Republicans are wishes for different candidates. Besides Thompson, they wish Newt would run. One of my senators, the Republican, is really a decent person and has been good for my state, but has the lowest negatives in his career--and that's 35 years! He hasn't even made any mistakes, not a hint of scandal--and his ratings are in the toilet. The GOP has one safe seat in my state. My own GOP congresswoman won in 2006 by 700 votes against a terrible Democratic candidate. The Republicans in Congress are busy repudiating the war--but they're not voting that way. Every time the President uses that veto pen and the Democrats can't override it is another defeat for the Republicans and they don't even see that. How bad is it when you're embarrassed to be seen at a campaign event with your own party's President and vice-president? In 2008, the Democrats will be able to point to a series of actions they tried to get us out of Iraq; they'll be able to quote the Republicans who now repudiate the invasion and then they can show how the same Republicans voted to continue the war. By 2008, we'll still be stuck in Iraq and that country will continue the same religious fight between the Shiites and Sunnis that has lasted more than 1300 years. With the Sunnis out of the government, we can't even say we achieve Democracy. How long did that last? Ten minutes? Then, of course, there's that great picture of Bush saying "Mission Accomplished." Yeah, right.

With the incumbent Republican President's approval rating at 29% they'd have to be naive to not be worried. Of course they're worried, but they are not going to let their constituents know it. Do you think Rove resigned at this particular time for no reason? He resigned in order to help the Republican party ready their candidates. That's his forte.

Yes, I am very worried. America can only absorb so much abuse. Bill Clinton was bad enough providing top secret missile technology and high powered computers to Red China. At least, for the most part, he was just guilty of neglect of important issues. But Hillary is another story. She is a strict socialist in the Stalinist model. Where Bill's agenda was pretty much to party and seduce women like some rock star, Hillary has a very powerful and tyrannical agenda.

These times are far too serious to afford the likes of Hillary Clinton.

Sure they are worried just as the Dems and Independents are. It is an election. The outcomes are never certain especially at this point of the "game". So much is yet to come out about the candidates, good and bad. It's a long process for us to have to endure and for them to play out. Just wait, listen and check your facts before you believe anyone's rhetoric. WE elect them and the propaganda only gets worse when they really start to worry. That is when you (if you are really concerned about making an informed decision) do you own research!

We're not really worried...the worst that can happen is a democrat gets in office, screws things up for 4 years and then we win back the Presidency and both houses by a landslide in 2012..maybe even the congress by 2010.

Project your fear this is good as you own defeat. Obamabin laden and his brother Osama bin laden lover.

Where is Murtha and the rest of the left as the news is Iraq is getting better every day and as Caravel said this is band for you but great for us on the right.

You need a loss to win and we are the ones who will win. As I said you own defeat.

No politicians worry about elections because they're all rigged anyone. They are only players in a game.

Have you seen what the dems are putting forth? We are laughing. Hillary is probably one of the most hated candidates we have ever seen, and Obama is shooting himself in the foot with his ideas like attacking Pakistan which would likely lead to the same type of situation when Carter caused the Shah to get overthrown. Now, look at Iran. Throw in the comment that he would not authorize the use of Nukes under any situation...that is amazingly ID1OTIC! I would vote against him for that statement if I agreed with everything else. That statement would embolden terrorists like NOTHING ELSE COULD!
