Need help deciding where to go for vacation..suggestions?

Hello...I would like to take a small, 2 day vacation for my birthday coming up in late October.....here are my choices....
Richmond, VA.....Seattle, WA....San Diego....Los Angeles...St. Augustine, FL...Portsmouth, NH...

Keeping in mind that I'm trying to be watching the money, and I'll only be able to have 2 full days....out of these locations could some of you give me pros and cons of these cities and what your picks would be? thanks.

That's an odd list of cities. I'd take Seattle out of that list. You are in the midst of city excitement, with plenty of fun stuff. But you also aren't far from Mount Rainier, Olympic National Park and Mount St. Helens -- all good stuff.

Los Angeles is a little spread out for two days. San Diego, with its zoo, probably would be my second choice for you. Richmond is OK. St. Augustine probably wouldn't appeal to kids, although the beach would be nice later in the winter. Portsmouth is last.
