This Re-writable CD lists that it can hold 700MB of data, but I've uploaded only 13,404 KB and my computer is telling me that the disk is full. Doesn't that translate to only like 13 MB? What gives?

Don't know if it makes any difference, but the data I'm saving is video.

I suspect you saved the previous lot without having "formatted" the disc and used "packet write software, so it has "closed" the disc.
With RW you NEED to format it to be RW, then use the software supplied with Nero etc to add data to it to be editable

It seems as though the disc is corrupted or bad. Try using another one with different data such as music. In reality, 700Mb Cds can typically hold up to 680-690 MB of data, unless you use a CD writing app that is configured to perform "overwriting".

Shouldn't make a difference. Perhaps the CD is bad. Have you tried another one to see if it works? What program are you using? If your just using windows to drag and drop it should be fine. If your using Nero or something like that just be sure that your on the CD menu selection and your doing data. You could do a video burn but I think to be honest that the CD may be bad.

It doesn't matter what you are giving to the disk, but you MUST format the disc if it is CD-RW. If it isn't just use another disc.

It says that it is full probably becuase you didnt put it as a muti session disc. So you can erase the stuff on there and then reburn but look for the option make a muti session disc. and yes that is 13mb
