Snow globes =] I've been collecting for 7 or so years. My best piece is a large snowglobe of the disney princesses from disney land paris that plays music. It was the first proper snow globe I got along with a small tinkerbell one. Now every holiday I go on I buy a snowglobe or people bring me one back. I just think they're really nice =]

I used to collect Stickers I had been collecting since I was 6 I still have all the albums but I don't buy any anymore. The best one I have is the Scratch and sniff gum ball machine sticker. It still smells after 15 years. My worst would have to be my Kelly Slater sticker from TV Hits, I went through a phase. I can't remember the interest anymore but I do know when I hit my teens, it was a compulsion more than a passion.
I have also inadvertently collected Snow Globes. I currently have 32. Some of them are of cities from where friends have visited and I have a range of Disney ones from my childhood that I absolutely adore. My favourite would have to be the one of Amsterdam from the Red light district. It has burlesque houses and hashish restaurants in it. I wouldn't think a globe like that existed. That has to be my absolute favourite snow globe. I don't have a non favourite.

I used to collect baseball cards. My most valueable cards would be a Reggie Jackson card with a piece of a game-used bat embedded, or the same type of card of Ken Griffey Jr. My drive to collect cards was the same drive people who play scratch & win lotto have -- the chance of opening a pack and finding a very valuable card. They also smell good and have very appealing packages. I had two stints when I collected: from age 8 to 11, then from age 21-22. I'll never do it again, as I realized there is no value in it.
I also collect stones (as mentioned by previous poster). I have one that is so unusual -- it's like a globule spheroid -- very very smooth. Flawless, in fact, and nearly the same color and about twice the size of an egg.

Coca Cola Emmett Kelly figurines. I just like them. My husband was doing some remodeling and 4 or 5 of them broke. :( I have a bunch of Precious Moments figures which I really don't like anymore. I only like a few. I started collecting them 25 years ago. I have some fenton vases and baskets that were my mother in laws which are really pretty.
This is kind of weird but I love the old I Dream Of Jeannie show. I would love to collect some of the bottles they sell. But they are WAY to expensive for me! I just think they are really pretty.
I also collect dogs (rat terriers) LOL. I have 3. Real ones of course!
My husband collects military books, medals, tanks and planes.

Well it's kind of a basic collection, but I like collecting books and CDs, because I've always been interested in reading and music... I started when I was about five. I also collect pin-on buttons too, especially band buttons.

I collect lanterns -
my greatest piece is one from the early 1900's used on the railroads.
I have no idea why I started collecting them - I guess I just liked the way they looked!

You could collect banknotes (world paper money), because that's what I collect and that gives me a lot of satisfaction as I can enjoy the educational benefits of worldwide currency banknotes, and also exchange or trade them with collectors, buy them from dealers (sometimes) or from shops and I can also sell them decades later for more money to other collectors or even to investors. I have a collection of 17 thousand + different world banknotes and I am still adding more to it. I used to collect stamps, but I find larger-than-stamps banknotes to be more rewarding in experience than stamps or postcards.

I collect shot glasses. I don't really know why I started, but it's become a passion over recent years. I get one everytime I go to a new state, city, or attraction. I have a Conan O'Brien one that I love. I've been a lot of places, so it's beginning to take over! lol

I like to collect statues of gods and goddesses from different religions and mythologies. I don't have a greatest peice yet, and I guess I started because I find different cultures so fascinating.
